How much does a digital loyalty programme cost in 2026? 15 tools, prices checked 3 November 2026

A digital loyalty programme costs anywhere from nothing to a few hundred a month, and the price model matters more than the headline number. Fifteen tools with prices checked on 3 November 2026, the hidden fees, and a worked example for a café.

Illustration: a loyalty card next to a row of price bars of different heights

In short

  • For a single location, a digital loyalty programme with cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet costs between about 15 and 50 a month in the vendor’s own currency on 3 November 2026. The outliers are free plans with hard limits at the bottom and agency tools at $199 and up at the top.
  • The price model matters more than the headline figure: flat monthly (Stampioo, Loopy, StampyWallet), per location (Square, Perkstar, Regulars), per loyalty visit (Square UK: £25, £45 or £65), per pass (PassKit) and per card slot (Flex Rewards).
  • A café with 600 loyalty visits a month pays £45 per location on Square UK, $25 on Loopy and €29 on Stampioo. The flat plans cost the same at 60 visits and at 6,000.
  • Three tools have a free plan with no time limit: BonusQR (no push, one login), FaveCard (browser card, no wallet pass) and Brewstamp (50 stamps in total). None of the others do; Stampioo gives 30 days free without card details instead.
  • Every figure below is from the vendor’s own pricing page as read on the date shown, never converted between currencies. This page is updated on the same URL; the change log is at the end.

Search for the cost of a digital loyalty programme and you will find two kinds of answer. The first is a vendor’s cost article from 2019 or 2022, still ranking, quoting prices the vendor itself no longer charges. The second is a comparison page where the same tool is listed at three different prices, because one source read the yearly rate, another the UK page and a third a plan that has since been renamed. This page tries to be the third kind: fifteen tools, the plan that runs one loyalty card at one location, the exact figure on each vendor’s own pricing page, and the date we read it.

Who is writing: Stampioo, which sells one of the fifteen tools. We have put our own price in the same table as everyone else’s, with its weaknesses stated (no free plan, no POS integrations, prices in euros and Swedish kronor only), and we say which tools cost less than ours for which kind of business. Where a competitor’s model is cheaper for you, the worked example below will show it.

How we checked the prices

  • We opened each vendor’s pricing page on 3 November 2026 and wrote down the cheapest paid plan that runs one loyalty card at one location, in the currency the page shows. Where a page shows several currencies (Stamp Me, Flex Rewards) we list them all.
  • We do not convert currencies. Stamp Me charges £39 in the UK, $49 in the US and €29 in the eurozone for the same plan, which no exchange rate would produce. A converted table would hide that kind of regional pricing.
  • Yearly-billing rates are listed separately. A plan advertised at $12 a month that is only $12 when you pay $144 up front is a yearly plan.
  • Free plans count only if the vendor’s page says they have no time limit. A 30-day trial is a trial.
  • Two tools we meant to include are missing because their own pages give no figure: Loyal Swift’s pricing page shows a trial button and no prices, and Kangaroo Rewards’ pricing URL returned a 404. Third-party pages quote prices for both; we do not repeat them.
  • Prices from third parties (Capterra, blogs, Square’s US Plus price) are named as third-party wherever they appear.

The five price models, and why they matter more than the number

1. Flat monthly

One price per month for one location, whatever happens. Stampioo (€29), Loopy Loyalty ($25), StampyWallet (€20), BonusQR ($22), FaveCard (€29), Stamp Me (£39, $49 or €29) and Loyally ($17) work this way. Customers, scans, stamps and passes are unlimited on every one of them. The only thing that raises the bill is a second location or a bigger plan. This is the model most small businesses want, because the cost is known on day one and does not punish a programme that works.

2. Per location

The same flat idea, but every shop pays. Square Loyalty is priced per location. Perkstar charges £15 for the first location and £10 a month for each additional one. Regulars licenses each location separately at €24 a month billed yearly. Flex Rewards adds $14.50 a month per extra store. For one shop this is identical to flat monthly; the difference shows at two or three.

3. Per loyalty visit

Square Loyalty in the UK charges £25 per location a month for up to 500 loyalty visits, £45 for 501 to 1,500 and £65 above that. A loyalty visit is any enrolment, point earned or reward redeemed. The bill therefore rises with the number of times customers use the programme, which is the number you are trying to grow. Square’s US page now lists Loyalty under its Plus plan; third-party pages quote about $49 per location a month, a figure we could not confirm on Square’s own page.

4. Per pass

PassKit charges a platform fee from $39.50 a month for one team member, which includes 250 multi-use and 250 single-use passes, and then $0.045 per multi-use pass between 251 and 2,500, falling in later tiers. A loyalty card is a multi-use pass, so the bill grows with your customer list. It is a developer platform, so this is reasonable for an app studio and unusual for a café.

5. Agency and franchise tiers

Boomerangme starts at $199 a month ($164 billed yearly) for ten locations and 50 manager seats, with Agency at $259 and Franchise at $299 and extra sub-accounts billed on top. Loyalzoo’s Grow plan at $77 and Smart at $167 sit in between, priced for POS-integrated multi-site operators. These are not expensive for what they are, but a single shop is not the buyer.

Hidden costs to look for

The entry price is rarely the bill. These are the seven places where the real cost hides, with the tools where we found each one.

  • Fees per loyalty visit. Square UK moves you from £25 to £45 per location once you pass 500 visits in a month, and to £65 above 1,500. The better your programme works, the more it costs.
  • Fees per extra location. Perkstar adds £10 a month per location, Flex Rewards $14.50 per store, Regulars a full second licence, Square a full second subscription. Flat-plan tools bundle locations instead: Stampioo Pro covers five for €49, Loopy Growth three for $69, Loyally Growth three for $30.
  • Fees per pass. PassKit includes 250 multi-use passes and then charges per pass. Four hundred active loyalty cards cost $39.50 plus 150 × $0.045, about $46 a month, and the figure keeps climbing with the list.
  • Fees per extra card or programme. Flex Rewards includes two card slots and charges $10 a month for a third. Stamp Me includes two published programmes and charges £15, $15 or €15 one-off for each additional one. Stampioo Starter includes one programme, Pro five.
  • Messaging credits. Loyalzoo Smart includes 5,000 messaging credits; StampyWallet Growth includes 200 texts a month for customers without a wallet. SMS beyond the allowance costs extra wherever it is offered. Wallet push messages, by contrast, are included without a cap at Stampioo, Loopy, Loyally and StampyWallet.
  • Payment-processing cuts. Perkstar takes 1% of payments processed through it on Growth and 0.5% on Scale; Regulars charges guests a 5% fee on paid products such as gift cards; Loyalzoo quotes 0 to 1% on card-on-file payments. These only bite if you sell prepaid products through the tool.
  • Contracts and refunds. Regulars runs a 12-month term that renews yearly. Loopy’s FAQ says it does not refund subscriptions or renewals. Flex Rewards needs card details for the trial. Perkstar sells a £59 set-up service. And every $-only tool (Loopy, Loyally, Flex, Loyalzoo, Boomerangme, PassKit) costs a European buyer whatever the card issuer adds for currency conversion.

A worked example: a café with 600 loyalty visits a month

Take an independent café with one location, one stamp card and a regular crowd that produces about 600 loyalty visits a month: enrolments, stamps and rewards combined. That is twenty a day, a normal number for a neighbourhood café with a working card. Here is what the monthly bill looks like on the price models above, in each vendor’s currency, with nothing converted.

Monthly cost for one location and about 600 loyalty visits, from each vendor’s own pricing page on 3 November 2026.
Stampioo€29Flat; visits do not matter
Loopy Loyalty$25Flat; visits do not matter
StampyWallet€20Flat; visits do not matter
Perkstar£15Flat for one location
Square Loyalty (UK)£45600 visits is in the 501 to 1,500 tier
PassKit (400 cards)about $46$39.50 + 150 passes × $0.045
Flex Rewards$36 / £26Flat; two card slots included
Stamp Me£39 / $49 / €29Flat; one location, two programmes

Two things stand out. First, the flat plans cluster between 15 and 40 in their own currency, and the order among them depends on which currency you pay in: Perkstar and StampyWallet are the low end, Stampioo and Loopy the middle, Stamp Me the top in pounds and the middle in euros. Second, the per-visit model is the one that moves. At 400 visits the same café pays £25 on Square UK; at 600 it pays £45; at 1,600, after a good year, £65. Square’s price is reasonable for a quiet shop that already runs Square POS and wants no extra step at the till. For a busy one, a flat plan is cheaper, and it stays cheaper.

If you want to see what the reward itself costs, not just the software, the reward calculator works out the cost per completed card from your stamp count and reward price.

What you get for free, and what you give up

Three tools in the table have a plan that costs nothing for as long as you like, and each one drops something a working café will miss. BonusQR’s free plan gives one manager login and no employee logins, and no push or email messages, so staff share one account and you cannot reach customers. FaveCard’s free plan is a card that lives in the phone’s browser rather than in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, so there is no lock-screen pass and the customer has to find the link again; the wallet passes start at €29. Brewstamp’s free plan stops at 50 stamps in total, which a café hands out in a week, after which Pro is $12 a month.

Stampioo does not have a free plan, and we would rather say so than hide it. What we offer instead is 30 days with every feature on the plan you choose, no card details, and a card that keeps working for your customers while you decide. If a free plan is the deciding factor, BonusQR is the honest recommendation; if a wallet pass on both platforms matters, the free plans above are a trial by another name.

How to choose a budget

  • One location, under 50 a month: any flat plan. Pick by what else you need: languages (Stampioo 29, Stamp Me 8, most others not stated), trial length (Stampioo, StampyWallet, Stamp Me, FaveCard 30 days; PassKit 45; Loopy 15; Perkstar and Loyalzoo 7), and whether the card goes to both wallets without an app.
  • Two to five locations: compare bundles, not entry prices. Stampioo Pro €49 for five, Loyally Growth $30 for three, Loopy Growth $69 for three, StampyWallet Network from €90, Perkstar £15 plus £10 per extra site, Square and Regulars per location.
  • You already run Square POS and want stamping to happen at checkout with no extra step: Square Loyalty, with the visit tiers in mind. Stampioo has no POS integration and will not do that.
  • You need an API or want to build your own passes: PassKit, priced per pass, or Loopy for its API and Zapier support.
  • You are an agency running programmes for clients: Boomerangme, priced accordingly.
  • Whatever you pick, read the vendor’s page for your own country on the day. Prices in this table are dated for a reason.

For a café, salon or restaurant in Europe that wants a card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, no app, a dashboard in its own language and a bill that does not change with success, our recommendation is Stampioo at €29 a month. You can try it free for 30 days without card details and see the card on your own phone before you pay anything.

Change log

  • 3 November 2026: first version. Fifteen tools, prices read from each vendor’s pricing page on this date. Loyal Swift and Kangaroo Rewards left out because their own pages show no price.
  • Next check: December 2026. Prices on this page are re-checked every quarter and the date in each table is updated. This page stays on the same URL; the dates above tell you how fresh it is.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a digital loyalty card programme cost per month?

For one location, most tools in this guide cost between about 15 and 50 a month in their own currency as of 3 November 2026: Perkstar £15, Loyally $17, StampyWallet €20, BonusQR $22, Loopy Loyalty $25, Regulars €24 billed yearly, Stampioo €29, FaveCard €29, Stamp Me £39 or €29, Flex Rewards $36, PassKit $39.50 plus pass fees. Square Loyalty in the UK is £25 to £65 per location depending on visits, Loyalzoo starts at $77 and Boomerangme at $199. Free plans exist at BonusQR, FaveCard and Brewstamp with real limits.

Are there free digital loyalty card apps, and what do they leave out?

Yes, three in this guide. BonusQR’s free plan has no time limit but gives one manager login and no push or email messages. FaveCard’s free plan is a card in the browser, not a pass in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Brewstamp’s free plan stops at 50 stamps in total. Stampioo has no free plan; instead you get 30 days with every feature and no card details, then pay from €29 a month.

What hidden costs should I look for in a loyalty programme?

Seven things that are not in the headline price: fees per loyalty visit (Square UK moves from £25 to £45 per location once you pass 500 visits a month), fees per extra location (Perkstar £10 a month, Flex Rewards $14.50 a month, Regulars a full licence), fees per pass (PassKit after 250 passes), fees per extra card or programme (Flex Rewards $10 a month, Stamp Me 15 one-off), SMS or messaging credits, payment-processing cuts on prepaid products, and yearly contracts you cannot leave early (Regulars runs 12 months).

Is a per-visit price like Square Loyalty’s cheaper than a flat plan?

Only for a quiet shop. Square UK charges £25 per location a month for up to 500 loyalty visits, £45 for 501 to 1,500 and £65 above that, where a visit is an enrolment, a point earned or a reward redeemed. A café with 600 visits a month pays £45, and a busy one with 1,600 pays £65 per location. A flat plan such as Stampioo (€29) or Loopy ($25) costs the same at 50 visits and at 5,000, so the per-visit model gets expensive exactly when the programme works.

How much does Stampioo cost?

Starter costs €29 a month excluding VAT, or €23 a month billed yearly, for one loyalty programme, one location and three team members. Pro costs €49 a month for five programmes, five locations, ten team members, advanced analytics and ten targeted push campaigns a month. Enterprise costs €99 a month with no limits. Customers, scans, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes are unlimited and included on every plan, and the trial is 30 days without card details.

Why do the prices on comparison sites disagree?

Three reasons. Vendors change prices and old articles are not updated; Stamp Me’s own 2022 cost article still quotes figures its pricing page no longer shows. Vendors price by region, so the same plan is £39 in the UK, $49 in the US and €29 in the eurozone at Stamp Me. And comparison sites sometimes quote the yearly-billing rate as the monthly price. This page quotes each vendor’s own pricing page as read on a stated date and does not convert currencies.

Do I pay extra for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet passes?

Usually not, but check. Stampioo, Loopy Loyalty, StampyWallet, BonusQR, Perkstar, Loyally, Regulars, Brewstamp, Boomerangme and PassKit include both wallets in the subscription. FaveCard includes them on its paid plans only. Square Loyalty offers an Apple Wallet pass but no Google Wallet pass. Stamp Me puts only a member barcode in the wallet, and Flex Rewards does not mention either wallet on its website.
