How the code works

The QR carries the network name, the security type and the password in the format every recent iPhone and Android phone understands. The camera app recognises it and offers to join the network; nothing to type, nothing to install. Guests who cannot scan still have the name and password printed underneath if you leave that option on.

Use a guest network

Put the QR on a guest network, not the one your till, printer and cameras sit on. Most routers offer one in a minute. If you change the password later, print a new poster; the code does not update by itself.

Where to put it

Where people sit down: on the table, at the counter, by the waiting chairs. A Wi‑Fi poster is looked at more than any other sign in the room, which makes it the right neighbour for a review QR or a loyalty card QR. The counter kit prints them together in one colour.

Privacy

This page has no server side. The QR is generated in your browser, the password is never transmitted or stored, and the poster is downloaded straight from the page.

Questions

iPhone since iOS 11 and Android since version 10 join a network straight from the camera. Older phones show the text and the guest types the password from the poster.

Yes. It is used only in your browser to draw the QR code. Nothing is sent to us or stored.

Yes. Tick “Hidden network” for a network that does not broadcast its name, and pick WEP if your router still uses it. WPA covers WPA2 and WPA3.

One poster per A4 page: full-page A4, or A5 centred on the sheet with crop marks. The PNG download is a single A5 at print resolution.
