Stampioo vs BonusQR (2026): free plan or flat price?

BonusQR has a free plan with no time limit and a dozen programme types. Stampioo has one product, a Wallet card without an app, at a flat euro price. Here is where each one is the better buy, with prices checked on 3 November 2026.

In short

  • BonusQR’s Free plan costs nothing for as long as you like: one manager login, seven programme types, unlimited customers, Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, but no push or email messages. Paid plans are $20 and $71 a month billed quarterly on 3 November 2026.
  • Stampioo costs €29 a month excluding VAT for one location after a 30-day trial without card details, and €49 for five locations. There is no free plan.
  • Both put the card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet without a customer app. Stampioo does one thing, a stamp-based loyalty card; BonusQR offers a dozen programme types from cashback to referrals.
  • Choose BonusQR if you want a free plan or points, cashback and referral programmes. Choose Stampioo if you want targeted push campaigns, a dashboard in one of 29 languages and a flat euro price from an EU company.

BonusQR and Stampioo answer the same question for a café, salon or restaurant: how do we give regulars a digital loyalty card, or digital stamp card as most people search for it, without printing paper and without asking anyone to install an app? They answer it differently. BonusQR is a broad toolkit with a free tier. Stampioo is a narrow product with one price. This page sets the two next to each other on the things that decide the choice.

We make Stampioo, so this is not a neutral review. What we can promise is that every figure below comes from BonusQR’s own pricing page or ours, read on 3 November 2026, that we have not converted any currency, and that the section on where BonusQR wins is as long as the one on where we do.

What BonusQR offers

BonusQR’s pricing page on 3 November 2026 lists three plans in USD, with a note that prices are based on your country. Free costs nothing with no time limit and no card details: seven programme types (stamp card, cashback, reward for spend, reward for visit, fixed discount, custom offer, onboarding promotion), one manager login, unlimited customers and scans, and the card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Basic costs $22 a month at list price, or $20 a month billed quarterly as $60, and adds points and tiered stamp cards, five employee logins, a link to your own page, a business network that puts several locations on one account, an e-shop, a booking system, a PDF menu and automatic customer groups, with push and email news once every four days. Premium costs $79 a month, or $71 billed quarterly as $213, and adds a referral system, tiered cashback, special-occasion offers, unlimited logins, birthday coupons, automatic Google Maps review requests and one push a day. Yearly billing is advertised at up to 23% off, without a figure on the page.

Staff add stamps with a mobile QR scanner, and the site says no POS integration or extra devices are needed, although it also sells a scanner device. Customers scan a QR code at the counter; the programme is reachable through a web version, an iOS app, an Android app, Google Wallet and Apple Wallet. The site states that customer data is GDPR compliant, but does not say where the company is based or where data is hosted, and the pricing page does not list the languages the product supports.

What Stampioo offers

Stampioo does one thing: a loyalty card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet that the customer saves by scanning a QR code and filling in a short form, with no app and no account to create. Staff stamp with the phone’s camera in the browser, the card updates on the customer’s lock screen, and when the card is full the reward shows on it. Starter costs €29 a month excluding VAT, or €23 a month billed yearly, for one programme, one location and three team members. Pro costs €49 a month for five programmes, five locations, ten team members, advanced analytics and ten targeted push campaigns a month to segments such as new, active, inactive, loyal and birthday customers. Customers and scans are unlimited on every plan, the website, dashboard and support come in 29 languages, and the 30-day trial needs no card details. See plans and pricing for what each plan includes.

Where Stampioo loses to BonusQR: there is no free plan, there is only one programme type (stamps towards a reward, with the number of stamps, reward, design and terms yours to set), there is no referral system, booking tool or e-shop, there is no public API, the public review count is small, and the price is shown in euros and Swedish kronor only. On data, Stampioo is run by Allvia AB in Sweden and acts as your GDPR data processor, but the service runs on Netlify, which may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, as our privacy policy states.

Choose BonusQR if

  • Your budget is zero and you can live without push messages and staff logins. The Free plan is real and has no time limit.
  • You want points, cashback, spend-based rewards or a referral programme rather than a stamp card.
  • You would use the extras: an e-shop, a booking system, a PDF menu or automatic Google review requests, all bundled from Basic.
  • You pay in US dollars and like the quarterly billing discount.

Choose Stampioo if

  • You want push campaigns aimed at a segment (inactive customers, birthdays, customers with a reward to collect) rather than a message to everyone on a fixed cadence.
  • Your staff or customers speak a language other than English: 29 languages for the dashboard, the card and support.
  • You run two to five locations and want one flat price (€49 a month on Pro) rather than a quote.
  • You want a Swedish company as data processor with GDPR terms written for the EU, and an invoice in euros.
  • You prefer a product that can be set up at the till in ten minutes over a toolkit with a dozen programme types to choose between.

What the sources get wrong

Third-party comparison pages quote BonusQR at €19 and €69 a month. On 3 November 2026 the pricing page shows $20 and $71 billed quarterly ($22 and $79 monthly), with a note that pricing depends on your country, so the euro figures may be an older regional price rather than an error. BonusQR also publishes its own “best free loyalty apps” rankings with itself in first place; read those the way you read this page, as a vendor’s view. On our side, do not take “unlimited customers” as a point for Stampioo: BonusQR offers it too, on every plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is BonusQR really free?

Yes, with limits. On 3 November 2026 BonusQR’s pricing page offers a Free plan with no time limit and no card details: one manager login, no employee logins, seven programme types, unlimited customers and scans, and Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Push and email messages, extra logins and the business network for several locations start on Basic, at $20 a month billed quarterly.

Does Stampioo have a free plan?

No. Stampioo gives you the full product free for 30 days without card details, then Starter costs €29 a month excluding VAT, or €23 a month billed yearly. If you need a plan that stays free for ever, BonusQR is the one of the two to pick.

Do customers need an app with BonusQR or Stampioo?

With Stampioo, no: the customer scans a QR code and saves the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. BonusQR lists a web version, an iOS app, an Android app and both Wallets as ways to reach the programme, so a customer can use a Wallet pass without installing the app, but the app is where the extra features such as the e-shop and booking live.

How much does BonusQR cost per month?

On 3 November 2026: Free at $0, Basic at $22 a month at list price or $20 a month when billed quarterly ($60 every three months), Premium at $79 a month or $71 billed quarterly ($213 every three months). The page says prices are based on your country and shows USD; yearly billing is advertised at up to 23% off without a figure.

Which is better for several locations?

Stampioo Pro covers five locations, five programmes and ten team members for €49 a month. BonusQR adds more locations to one account through its business network from the Basic plan, with five employee logins on Basic and unlimited logins on Premium; the pricing page does not state a price per extra location, so ask BonusQR for a quote before you compare.

Which should a café or salon in Europe choose?

If the budget is zero, BonusQR Free. If you want a card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, a dashboard in your own language (Stampioo has 29), targeted push campaigns to new, inactive or birthday customers, and a predictable euro invoice from a Swedish company, Stampioo. Try both: Stampioo for 30 days without a card, BonusQR on its free plan.
