Where the link comes from

Open your Google Business Profile (search your business name while signed in to Google, or open the Business Profile Manager). On the home panel, press “Get more reviews” and copy the link. That link opens the review form directly, with the star rating already visible, which is why a QR to it converts far better than a QR to your Maps listing.

Where to put the poster

At the point where the customer has just had a good experience and is waiting anyway: the till, the table, the mirror in a salon, the pick-up shelf. Eye height, unobstructed, one poster per spot. A second copy near the door catches people on the way out.

What to say next to it

The QR does the work; the copy just has to lower the effort. “It takes 30 seconds” is honest and specific. Never offer a discount or a free item for a review, which breaks Google’s policy, and never ask only happy customers, which breaks the spirit of it. Ask everyone, on every visit, with the same poster.

Reviews and repeat visits

Reviews bring new customers in; a loyalty card brings the same customers back, and it is returning customers who leave the warmest reviews. The two posters belong side by side, which is what the counter kit prints for you.
