Printable loyalty card for bakeries

Bread is bought two or three times a week and margins are thin, so the reward should be something you bake every day. Print ten cards per sheet, free and with no account.

Keep it short enough to read on a card.

Ten stamps for a habit purchase

Bread customers are creatures of habit. Someone who buys their sourdough two or three times a week fills ten stamps in about a month, and that's just right: the reward comes often enough to be noticed without eating into your margin. If you mostly sell to weekend customers who come once a week, drop to six or eight. If you don't want a single biscuit to earn a stamp, set a minimum spend and print it on the card.

Reward with what you bake anyway

The margin on bread is thinner than on coffee, but what you give away only costs you flour, butter and oven time. So choose a reward from your daily range: a loaf, a bag of buns or a cinnamon bun to go with a coffee. Avoid cakes and made-to-order items, which take extra work and planning. A trick against waste: give double stamps in the last hour before closing, when you'd rather sell the last loaf than throw it away.

Stamp at the till, not with a pen

The morning rush moves fast, and a pen tick is easy to copy at home. Keep a self-inking stamp with the bakery's logo at the till and stamp when the customer pays. Floury hands mark the paper, so choose a thick, matt card that can take handling and an ink that dries quickly. Print the terms on the back: one stamp per purchase, valid on the regular range, no cash alternative.

Print, cut and hand out with the bag

Print the sheet at 100% scale and cut along the crop marks with a ruler and craft knife, or download the PNG or SVG for a print shop. Pop a card into the bread bag for new customers, and the cards spread by themselves. When you want to tell your regulars about something new, like the season's first hot cross buns, paper is no longer enough. A loyalty card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet stays on the phone and can show an offer on the lock screen.

Questions

Ten suits customers who buy bread several times a week. The stamp card then fills up in about a month. If most of your customers only shop at the weekend, choose six to eight.
A loaf or a bun from your daily range. It costs you ingredients and oven time, not the shelf price, and needs no extra planning the way a cake does.
The simplest option is one stamp per purchase. If you sell lots of small items, you can set a minimum spend, but print it clearly on the stamp card so customers know where they stand.
Yes. Upload your logo, choose colours and a stamp icon such as a loaf or a croissant, and print the stamp card or download it as PNG or SVG.
No. With a prepaid pass, the customer pays in advance for a number of purchases. A stamp card is free for the customer: every purchase earns a stamp and a full card earns a reward.
